Ⅰ.Personal Information Protection Policy
Nippon Yakin Kogyo recognizes that safe storage and correct handling of personal information (*1) and specific personal information (*2) in its possession are important issues, and observes the following policy and takes all possible measures for the protection of personal information.
1.Compliance with Laws, Ordinances, and Norms
When handling personal information, Nippon Yakin Kogyo strictly complies with all relevant laws, ordinances, and norms pertaining to personal information.
2.Use of Personal Information
In the case of obtaining the person in question’s (*3) consent in advance, and excluding cases where exceptional handling is required under laws and ordinances, Nippon Yakin Kogyo handles personal information for the following purposes of use, and when obtaining personal information, handles personal information within the scope of the purposes of use separately notified to the person in question or publicly released.
Customers and other business partners
- To execute transactions, communicate in the course of business, and the like with customers and other business partners that have business relations with Nippon Yakin Kogyo, including sales and purchases of products
Shareholders
- To exercise rights and fulfill obligations based on the Companies Act
- To provide various benefits from Nippon Yakin Kogyo for the standing of shareholder
- To implement various measures to facilitate smooth relationships between shareholders and Nippon Yakin Kogyo
- To manage and gain understanding of shareholders, including creation of data following prescribed standards based on various laws and ordinances
Nippon Yakin Kogyo also handles personal information, including that of customers and other business partners, for business processes related to the aforementioned matters at consolidated subsidiaries, affiliated companies under the equity method, and non-consolidated subsidiaries listed in the annual securities report of Nippon Yakin Kogyo and elsewhere.
3.Obtaining Personal Information
In the case of obtaining personal information, Nippon Yakin Kogyo shall obtain it using appropriate means, and excluding cases where exceptional handling is required under laws and ordinances, publicly releases the purposes of use in advance or notifies the person in question or publicly releases the purposes of use promptly after obtaining the personal information. However, in the case of directly obtaining personal information in writing from the person in question, the purposes of use are specified in advance.
4.Implementation of Safety Measures
Nippon Yakin Kogyo strives to preserve handled personal data (*4) in an accurate and up-to-date state within the scope of the purposes of use, takes necessary and appropriate measures for its safe management, and supervises employees and outsourcing partners. Please inquire with 7. Inquiries regarding the safety countermeasures taken by Nippon Yakin Kogyo. Excluding cases where exceptional handling is required under laws and ordinances, Nippon Yakin Kogyo does not provide personal data to third parties without obtaining the consent of the person in question in advance.
5.Respect of Rights Pertaining to Personal Information
Nippon Yakin Kogyo strives to promptly and appropriately address complaints from persons in question. Regarding personal data held by Nippon Yakin Kogyo (*5), Nippon Yakin Kogyo responds to requests for notification of the purposes of use, disclosure of personal information or records of provision to third parties, corrections, additions, deletions, suspension of use, or suspension of provision to third parties from persons in question based on laws and ordinances. 6.Establishment and Implementation of Personal Information Protection Management Regulations
Nippon Yakin Kogyo has established the Personal Information Protection Management Regulations in compliance with laws, ordinances, and other norms pertaining to personal information protection, and enforces compliance with them by all officers and employees.
